Unpacking after a move is a life experience that most people dread. Really, it could be very tasking especially when it comes to planning the rooms, deciding what to unpack first or even where to start with. Although very overwhelming, it can be a pleasurable process. Here are a five tips that could serve as a guide to you.

1. Plan the rooms
By this I mean you should have a plan for what each room will be used for. Apart from making the unpacking process very easy, it will also help you follow the popular unpacking mantra which says unpack one room at a time.

2. Place your furniture
After you have all the rooms planned out, proceed to putting the furniture in place. Yes! The living room should be the first part of the house to be set up. Should any guest come while the unpacking is going on, you will have a place to receive them. Also, put the electrical gadgets, decorations and other living room accessories in place. You should ensure the living room is properly set up before proceeding to the other rooms in the house.

3. Arrange the kitchen
The kitchen is the next part of the house that requires immediate attention. This is for you to be able to fix quick meals while the unpacking process is going on. Make sure to handle all fragile wares with care in order to prevent the occurrence of an accident.

4. Set up the bedrooms
This is very easy to do and should not consume any time. Have the owners of each bedroom set it up.

5. Recycle the empty boxes
Before you give yourself a pat on the shoulder for a job well done, ensure the empty boxes are packed from the rooms. Do not leave them lying around the house. You could keep them for future use. Or if you are sure they are no longer needed, have them recycled.
